Financial matters are a key component to achieving success as an individual and as a couple or family.
The question most people ask is, “How do I make money, how do I manage what I have, and how do we multiply this money?”
In the bid to do this or even take care of the family, some people have gotten themselves in debts. Whether while running a business or borrowed money for house rent, school fees, health challenges, vacation, or other family expenses, debts have become a core part of some people’s lives. Some already have a way of getting out, but some others are struggling. If you’re struggling in debt, I know that one of the things debt does is that it increases your stress and anxiety levels and gives deep frustration.
Money concerns are among the primary causes of family arguments you will agree with me.
Mismanagement of money can smother love.
Let me now give you a few points to note if you’re in debt and you want to know how to manage and get out of it all.
1. Don’t allow debt to smother love in your home. You must understand that this is a phase and it will pass. Protect your love despite being in debt. This is only a part of your life. Do not allow it to take over the whole
2. Talk about it while putting into consideration the maturity of your spouse. Some people can not take in certain entire information at once, so you need to be mindful. If it requires your spouse to know all that the family is owing, please involve someone he or she respects that can break the news to them and possibly guide on what next steps to take.
3. Articulate what you’re owing and who it is. Clarity is important in situations like this. Then, pray over it consistently, asking for God’s help. You can get a job or a business opportunity that will help you settle your debts. There is no impossibility. Keep your heart open to ideas as you pray.
4. You can run a business that can help alleviate your challenges. But understand that the business too should prosper, so all that you earn should not be used to pay debts.
5. You can also get a gift that can solve the challenges you’re facing. Keep an open heart, and don’t just keep the issues to yourself alone.
6. Don’t run away. Communicate with the people you owe. It’s better they know you’re working on it rather than hiding.
7. Articulate your talents and skills to see how to use it immediately to make money. Also, what can you sell among your properties to offset your debts? You have to start by using what you have to begin the journey of being free from debts.
